Fast Food Giant Announces I’ts CLOSING Its Doors For Good!

In a surprising move, McDonald’s has announced the permanent closure of all five CosMc’s locations — the beverage-focused spin-off that launched in late 2023. The chain, which aimed to compete with Starbucks and Dunkin’ by offering bold drinks and snack combos, will also discontinue the CosMc’s app and rewards program as part of a strategic pivot.

The five shuttered stores — located in Texas and Illinois — will close their doors by the end of July 2025. McDonald’s says the decision was made to streamline operations and bring popular CosMc’s drinks back to its core menu, rather than running a separate brand.

While some fans are disappointed, others are excited to see the best of CosMc’s possibly land in traditional McDonald’s restaurants soon. Either way, this marks the end of the Golden Arches’ latest experiment in fast-casual dining.
